Volodymyr Pidtserkovnyi joined the Theatre team in 2017 as Theatre Director. Volodymyr studied at the Kyiv Korniychuk Public Institute of Culture and, later, at the Directing Department of the Rivne Public Institute of Culture.
In 2008, he graduated from the Public Academy for Managerial Staff in the Culture and Arts Industry, the Institute of Postgraduate Education, course – Specifics of the Operation and Management of Theatres in Modern Context.
In 1975, Volodymyr worked as the manager of a community cultural centre in the village Pereroslya, Rivne Region, until he was enlisted with the army.
Between 1977 and 1978, Volodymyr was an actor with the Rivne Regional Puppet Theatre, and, in 1991, he started working as Art Director of the Shlyakh (Way) Leisure Centre in Rivne.
In 1996, he became the Production Director of the Rivne Regional Puppet Theatre.
In 1998, he was promoted to the position of Theatre Director of the Rivne Regional Puppet Theatre, where he worked until 2003.
Between 2003 and 2017, Volodymyr was the Theatre Director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Mariyka Pidhiryanka Academic Regional Puppet Theatre.
Throughout his theatrical career, Volodymyr produced more than forty performances for children, youth and adults that are still running in theatres across the country. A number of performances he produced were presented at national and international festivals, including in Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova, and Poland, where they received both special and top awards.
In addition to Ukrainian, Volodymyr also speaks a number of languages: he is fluent in Polish and Russian and translates from Belorussian, Bulgarian, Slovak, Serbian, and French.
